“We’re really impressed with the DAF XG’s economy,” he said, “11.0mpg straight out of the box is excellent for our operation, and that’s only going to get better once they’re bedded in. The new XG is a big step forward for DAF and the truck is more in line with the type of vehicle we want on our fleet,” said Harry.

The next batch of New Generation DAF XG tractors will be equipped with DAF’s Digital Vision System to replace traditional rear-view mirrors and to greatly enhance indirect (and direct) view around the cab and trailer. “DAF’s new camera system is a superb feature,” said Harry, “and it will be new to the fleet. The Corner View feature will definitely help with safety. The drivers love the on-board tech,” he added, “and they’re all fighting to get into the new DAF XG. Lead-times have been excellent,” he said, “and we’re delighted with the overall package. That’s why we want more – there’ll be over 30 New Generation DAF XG tractors with us by the end of next year.”
